Outdoor Patio & Shed
In April we hosted Easter in the garden, (on a trestle table to be precise)underneath the avocado tree, it was beautifully romantic! But it got me thinking, we spend so much of our time outdoors in the garden, the next thing that would be perfect for our family was a classic (ever so British in style) outdoor dining set! Whilst embarking on a Spring to Summer clean up around the exterior of the shed and veggie garden, we decided to repaint, trim, prune and also welcome a dining set on the terracotta patio. It is as if it was made to be!!
Pretty remarkable what a lick of paint can do though isn't it? It had been four years since we painted the shed..gosh!! and it was in desperate need for a fresh look. We also sprayed the roof, which for some reason we hadn't done four years prior! It's never too late friends...It's never too late. And the result, is brilliant!! We decided to go a little darker and bolder, using black ace by British paints which makes it look ever so crisp and smart against the greenery. We didn't sand, just simply sprayed straight over the top and rolled the veggie gardens.
I had tremendous fun styling the table for Spring amongst the wildflowers. There will be many memories to be made In this area I am sure of it. (The table setting is from Woodbury, and a large classic umbrella is to come)
This is the spray gun we use, and the roller set.

We also added a wall sconce for a homely touch. It was $40 from Bunnings originally in black and we sprayed in brass for a more expensive and classic look.
