Guest Ensuite Reveal
Small space, big impact! Never underestimate the power of space and design. You can make it work!
This project has flexed and stretched my design skills with its small and narrow size, measuring .9m x 2.7m to be exact. But I am thrilled with the results! In all honesty, from design and concept board to the end result, it actually turned out better than I could have imagined.
Before
After
My vision for the bathroom was to create a refreshing and inviting space with warmth and personality. To achieve this, I focused on selecting the right finishes, materials, and colours. One of the standout elements in the design is the stunning custom-made pendants from Mayclay Lighting, which added a touch of boutique charm and uniqueness.
In every design I undertake, I always have a hero piece. For this bathroom, the Renoir print served as this piece, bringing a sense of artistry and character to the room. To tie everything together, I carefully incorporated burnt ochre and deep blue accents through the tiles and towels mirrored in the artwork, creating a harmonious flow and adding warmth, contrast, and depth to the overall ambiance!
I am so pleased with the final result, it feels like the perfect balance between freshness, lightness, and a cosy, welcoming atmosphere, making the bathroom a truly special and enjoyable space. No longer do I have to open the pocket door and cringe… it took a long time to complete, but gosh it was worth it!

As you know throughout this guest ensuite, I changed my mind with a few details, the wall sconce being one of them! And I am so pleased I did, for it turned out better than I could have imagined. Together with a talented ceramist, Mayclay lighting, she handmade and created the most beautiful and intricate ceramic hanging pendants. They frame and balance the mirror without making it feel top heavy, and give the perfect ambience and mood lighting this little ensuite needed. Along with that, they give just the right amount of unique charm, character and texture! These pendants were designed and made with you in mind, and we have a special code for you too! HHMC10 for 10% off your order too!
