Wholesome Smoothie

As part of my gut health journey and restoring my gut flora, it meant I needed to eliminate certain foods from my diet and increase my intake of others. You can read more about my gut health here. Starting my day with a smoothie is my favourite, I am able to get all the nutrients I need in one cup. It’s also good for on the run with kiddies of course. A key ingredient I add is Ningxia Red, this is my multivitamin whole food puree. (I take supplements too!) Read all about Ningxia Red here and how to order it! We don’t go a day without it as a family!

Ingredients:

2 Cups Spinach

1 or 2 Bananas

1 Cup berries (or Ningxia!)

1 Cup Cashew milk or other nut milk.

1 Cup Water

Half carrot

Half Avocado

2 cubes Ice

1 Tsp Spirulina (Spirulina is rich in a range of vitamins and minerals essential for maintaining a healthy immune system) This was an interesting article.

1 Tsp Maca powder (optional)

1Tsp LSA (LSA has a lot of fibre which is very important for gut and overall health.)

1 scoop Pea protein

60 mls of Ningxia Red. WHY I TAKE NINGXIA?

  • It is the highest known protection against dangerous superoxide free radicals. (As documented in the S-orac test conducted by Brunswick laboratories)

  • Supports a healthy immune system

  • Helps us be proactive against all the germs coming our way

  • Energy support

  • HUGE source of antioxidants

  • Support brain and joint health

  • Supports healthy hormone levels

  • Supports healthy blood sugar levels

  • Can help curb my sugar cravings

  • Everyone should take it! We love 60mls daily for kids and 60-80mls daily for adults. Ningxia Red supports immune function, liver function, and eye health and is reported to increase energy. I can tell you it's more than reported to increase mine. I can tell within minutes how different I feel after drinking it! Read more on this blog post here and where to get it!
