Over the last six years we have been transforming our house into a home, creating our little dream oasis one step at a time! It has been an absolute joy for me to document and share this transformative journey with you all Instagram.

A goal without a plan is just a wish! Today I am excited to share with you my vision board/design board for the office space.

It's true what they say: good things take time.

With a goal and a vision in place, we have successfully designed, diy’d and transformed the shed into a functional and versatile space! With a workbench and storage space for Bens tools, a gym and a place to keep the surf boards. Our vision was straightforward: a clean, masculine, personal, and practical space. I'm confident that we've achieved this, as the style and overall design truly reflect Ben's personality! And, fortunately, we've completed it just in time for Christmas!

In April we hosted Easter in the garden, (on a trestle table to be precise)underneath the avocado tree, it was beautifully romantic! But it got me thinking, we spend so much of our time outdoors in the garden, the next thing that would be perfect for our family was a classic (ever so British in style) outdoor dining set!

We're thrilled to announce that we're embarking on an exciting project: painting our roof! This journey has been a thoughtful one, driven by our aspiration to transform our home into the vision we've always had, white painted brick with a dark roof.

Today marks an exciting day, especially for Ben. Let’s makeover the shed…

Drum roll… The guest ensuite is finally finished!! This bathroom, has flexed and stretched my design skills with its small and narrow size, measuring .9m x 2.7m. So I am certainly happy for it to be complete. In all honesty from design and concept board to fruition, it actually turned out better than I could have imagined.

Don’t let its dark and dreary reputation fool you: Black paint has the same enduring versatility as its lighter counterparts—not to mention it can give a space a dramatic edge. And applied within the right layout, a few fresh coats can make a space appear bright, airy, and shockingly spacious, making it a great choice for kitchens, powder rooms, outdoor kitchens, and anywhere else that could use a little oomph!

Our dream outdoor kitchen is complete. As a family we live an indoor outdoor lifestyle and Ben cooks on the grill several times a week...

Today I bring you something exciting. Whilst I am waiting on a few final details for the guest ensuite...(and twiddling my thumbs in the meantime,) lets tackle the BBQ area!!

Our deck wraps around our home, and my most favourite part is the walkway adjoining the front to the back of the house, it has the most lush and towering tropical plants we planted to create that enveloping oasis feeling when you walk through.

Having a beach house doesn’t necessarily mean we like to bring half the beach back with our belongings after every beach session, quite the opposite in fact, I love a sand free home!! So naturally we wanted to add an outdoor shower to avoid this problem.
